Throwback to Thesis!

Had some downtime at work and I figured out how to make gifs, so these babies happened!  Gifs from my senior thesis film at Ringling I made last year.

Psychedelic Pup

I've been messing with some new brushes in photoshop with my down time and tried this out based on a sketch.  Hmmmm, the colors don't translate that well from my mac, might have to fix that.

Kill la Kill

Been watching Kill la Kill lately and wanted to do a little fan art of Ryuko.

Windy City Bound!

I accepted a job in Chicago!  I will be moving there to work as a Junior 3D Artist at Alter Inc!  I'm so excited it feels like my brain is exploding!  I start work there on March 1. Look out Windy City here I come!!!!!

T Shirt Swag: Dance Off

T shirt design I tried out.  I've never tried to design a T shirt before so this was a first.  I did it for a challenge on Forhumanpeoples for this week's challenge called "Star Wars vs. Star Trek".  It didn't get picked for this week but I really like how it turned out regardless.

A Heart Full of Fire

Year of the Corgi

Happy New Years!

Elsaaaaaaaaaaaa

Elsa from Frozen because she was fabulous.  And it's fricken cold here and everyone else has snow-- except for me.  Kinda went a little crazy with brushes and glitterfying her.

More Illustrator Work

These are some images I did for an art test ad illustrations for a mobile app game.  I had 48 hours to do three of these and I really liked how they turned out.  This game involving Pokemon-esque characters battling in a forest environment.

Labyrinth: Jareth and Sarah

I'm a big fan of the Labyrinth movie and an even bigger fan of David Bowie.  I've wanted to draw some more Jareth, so this happened.  Based on the song "Within You" at the end of the film which is by far the best song in the movie.

Sherlock

Caricature of BBC's Sherlock played by Benedict Cumberbatch.  Love this show!  It's finally getting a new season on January 19!

Brothers

"I'll always be chasing after you. Don't go somewhere I cannot follow."
Fun stuff with colors testing out new method.

Shenandoah National Park Fall Colors

"The Prince was taller than I expected. "

Behold the fabulous!

This is an OC of mine, Prince Cillian of Rosings from a story I'm noodling with. I wanted to have him highly contrasted with the lighting because he's very unpredictable and standoffish. I looked at a lot of "Revolutionary Girl Utena" and Greek stuff as reference for his outfit.

I used a new painting method in Photoshop with the construction of my layers and I really liked how it turned out. Especially that sword.

The Wheely Big Adventure

The Wheely Big Adventure from Carly Senora on Vimeo.

This was my Computer Animation senior thesis film at Ringling College of Art and Design.  It's a film about a hamster with a craving for adventure.

I didn't realize I hadn't put up my film yet. Whoops!

Winter Animal Vectors

Been doing some noodling in Illustrator lately since I can use the program, but I never did any real work in it till now.  Winter is coming, so I was thinking about animals stealing people's mittens, hats, scarves, and things.

These took me about two weeks working on and off.  I think the wolf is my favorite.

Marshall the Shooter

This is based vaguely on this serial killer from this movie called Mr. Brooks.  Mr. Brooks has lots of problems involving an alter ego named Marshall as well as an addiction to murder.  Great movie.  I made him more suave and James Bond-esque with a little retro flair.

Jonsi of Sigur Ros

I saw Sigur Ros in concert about a week or so ago when they came to Norfolk.  I've been itching to draw Jonsi since.  Based vaguely on some pictures I took while in the mosh pit.  They were amazing live!!

Fluffy Man and the Most Delicious Tea

I've been working on this guy on and off for the past few weeks.  Just doing some digital painting practice based on a sketch I drew.  His tea is magical. FEAR IT.

This is a quick breakdown I did of da process.

A Sarah Appears!

Been drawin some lately. Decided I should put my obsession with Labyrinth down on paper so I drew some Sarah.  Sarah is property of Jim Henson (and David Bowie).  More to come soon. :D
